Originally from Detroit, Frederick Smith is a graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism, Loyola University Chicago, and Loyola Marymount University. He is author of One and Done, Busy Ain’t The Half Of It (co-authored with Chaz Lamar Cruz), In Case You Forgot (co-authored with Chaz Lamar Cruz), Play it Forward, Right Side of the Wrong Bed, and Down For Whatever, all of which center characters who are queer Black, Latinx, and other multiple backgrounds and identities. He lives in San Francisco.
